2010 Colnagos are in stock now at Victors.

Currently in stock are versions of the ACE, CLX 2.0, CX-1 and EPS. Each of these models is available in a range of sizes, colours and component builds to fit any taste.

COLNAGO ACE

The ACE is one of the NEW introductions from Colnago for 2010 season; the ACE is a full carbon monocoque frame that will use a 49 mm tube in selected areas of the frame. The geometry of the ACE is also new, introducing REAL X, this frame will have a head tube that is approximately 20 mm higher than the traditional Colnago frame geometry; this to ensure a less aggressive (race set-up) riding position but a more comfortable riding position on the bike.

 

COLNAGO CLX 2.0
CLX 2.0 is the result of the Colnago Lab; the CLX 2.0 is exclusively designed and tested in Italy. The CLX 2.0 has a monocoque front triangle where the rear triangle is lugged. The top and down tube on the CLX 2.0 are characterized by 2 external ribs the inside of the top and down tube have different thickness, this to increase the stiffness of the frame and to give the rider a less harsh ride but keeping the well know Colnago handling. The curved seat stay is created to improve the braking without losing control over the bike in any situation.

COLNAGO CX-1

The CX-1 has a special monocoque carbon fibre front triangle with an assembled rear triangle which is joined with a special proprietary bonding process. Colnago's new CX-1 frame is the top of Colnago’s monocoque frame range and is positioned close to the Colnago Extreme Power and Extreme-C in performance and design.
Colnago's CX-1 was created for strong riders who have asked for an aggressive, ultra-modern monocoque frameset from Colnago. The CX-1 is a high-performance frameset with a dynamic ride that will allow riders to fly up any climb, thanks to its light weight, yet it’s rigid enough to win any sprint without losing energy.
Multi-shape top tube -
Thanks to the unique polygonal profile of the CX-1's top tube, this design provides a very strong, solid structure with two flat surfaces on bottom and top for extra stiffness and the polygonal profile also disperses extraneous road vibrations.
Rear triangle –
CX-1's rear chain stay and seat stay shape have been developed to optimize overall torsional and lateral rigidity without adding weight.
Lay-Up Optimization -
Colnago's new CX-1 uses both high modulus composite (HM) and high-strength (HR) unidirectional composite with a 3K twill finish. During the development of the CX-1, thanks to 3D design & Finite Element Analysis (FEM), Colnago has created an extremely accurate, optimized carbon fibre composite lay-up. Particularly in the key zones where force is transmitted to the road for an incredible ride & performance.
Exclusive Colnago Carbon Fibre Fabric -
Unlike many carbon fibre frames, Colnago uses an exclusive pre-preg Carbon Fibre Fabric that is specially selected by using electronic scanning technology that ensures the fabric will have the maximum resin dispersal and provide the lightest frame possible.
Colnago Headset System / C-HS2 –
One of the key points of the Colnago Revolution development project is the introduction of an all-new headset system, the C-HS2 Colnago Headset System. This is a special, semi-integrated headset. It’s an all-new concept from Colnago Revolution that allows easier assembly and maintenance without removing the entire headset assembly. The C-HS2 also provides extra stability to the head tube, confirmed by real-life racing on the C-HS by Team Rabobank riders like Graeme Brown & Oscar Freire, who won various stages of the GP Mallorca and Tirreno Adriatic races.

EPS Carbon
Colnago Revolution is the top development and design project for Colnago that started in 2009, and the all new top of the range Colnago EPS is the first star from the innovative Colnago Revolution Project. The EPS evolved from the Extreme Power model, which was designed for top sprinters like Petacchi, Friere and Zabel who generate tremendous power under acceleration. Made in Italy.
Lay-Up Optimization –
The structure of Colnago’s EPS frame has been completely re-done, in the tubing and the lugs, using ultra high and high modulus (HHM & HM) unidirectional composite with a 3K twill finish. During the development of the EPS, thanks to 3D design and Finite Element Analysis (FEM), Colnago has created an extremely accurate, optimized carbon fibre composite lay up. Particularly in the key zones where force is transmitted to the road to reduce vibration and stress from irregular road surfaces, making for an incredible ride and performance.
Multi Shape Tubing-3PRS System –
Colnago’s new EPS frameset features a unique new 3PRS System of multi-shape tubing which vary from a conical top tube with a 40mm diameter at the head tube, tapering to a 35mm diameter at the seat tube lug. The down tube has a constant diameter of 44mm from the head tube to the bottom bracket. Four 3PRS internal reinforcing ribs, of varying widths and thickness, translate to extraordinary stiffness and power transfer through the new Colnago EPS frame.
Colnago Carbon Fibre Fabric & Epoxy –
With over two decades of experience building the finest carbon fibre bikes, Ernesto Colnago used his expertise to choose the finest carbon fibre fabric and epoxy for his new EPS frame.
Colnago Headset System/C-HS1 –
One of the key points of the Colnago Revolution development project is the introduction of an all new headset system, the C-HS1 Colnago Headset System. This special semi-integrated headset uses 1 1/8” bearings on the top race. The bottom race employs 1 ¼” bearings for extra head tube rigidity, and more steering stability and precision. The C-HS1 allows easier assembly and maintenance without removing the entire headset assembly. Also the EPS bottom bracket has an easily removable CNC Titanium insert to facilitate maintenance.
Colnago EPS Carbon Fork & Tubing diameters –
Colnago’s new EPS has a 35mm seat tube diameter that uses a 31.6mm seat post. The EPS also features the all new Colnago NewStar carbon fibre fork that was specifically developed for the C-HS1. It features improved steering and stability thanks to the new fork blade shape, and maximum strength to absorb shocks. The EPS NewStar fork blends smoothly with the new 1 ¼” diameter at the bottom of the head tube.
